The Birmingham Royal Ballet is one the leading Ballet companies in the UK. The BRB is the resident Ballet company at the Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre and is associated with the Elmhurst School of Dance.
The company was founded in 1947 as the Sadler’s Well Theatre Ballet, later the company was granted royal charter to become Sadler’s Wells Royal Ballet. When the company relocated to Birmingham in 1990, it became the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
I have been to see several shows at the Birmingham Hippodrome but I have never been lucky enough to see the BRB perform. This year I am determined for this to change! With an impressive programme for the upcoming season I am adamant that I will see them perform and in their home theatre.
Here is a trailer for the season:
This winter the BRB will be performing the much-loved and very well-known story of The Nutcracker. They will be performing at the Birmingham Hippodrome from November 25th until December 11th. The show will then be moved to the London O2 where it will perform from December 27th until December 30th.
The show is set to be incredible and the reviews are already raving about the show.
Here are a few photos from the BRB website to wet your appetite:
I will definitely be buying tickets soon and you can too if you visit the BRB website:
