To pay or not to pay…that is the intern question?

Internships are a subject of interest for me. As a student training to be in the theatre and entertainment industry, a key way of entering this line of work has always been internships. It is now commonplace for students and graduates to take unpaid work in order to enter companies and gain the work experience needed for … Continue reading »

Potter…more?

It always makes me laugh the reaction from my friends when I say that I haven’t read all the Harry Potter books, the look of sheer outrage on their faces! As a child I didn’t really read fiction. I was a die-hard ballet girl so read the autobiographies of famous dancers/ performers. I vividly remember reading the … Continue reading »

QR Codes…?

I recently attended a conference regarding contemporary issues for management of the arts and the topic of QR codes came up. QR (Quick Response) codes are 2D barcodes that when scanned using a QR reader or a QR app on a smartphone then displays/ links to certain information, such as a website, contact number, URL … Continue reading »

After seeing Julie Artherton perform at West End Live this weekend, I decided to check out her website: http://www.julieatherton.com/ Liked the website but the best bit was definitely the gallery of videoclips. Stumbled across this video and found it hilarious so thought I would share it on this site. I actually saw Julie Artherton a few years … Continue reading »

There is a petite American singer called Lauren Bradford, and up until last week we have lived together for the last 9 months. Lauren and I go to the same university, but are on different courses. At first glance Lauren is a reserve and polite girl but as you get to know her, her very … Continue reading »

Going forward…

After being inspired at a social media lecture, I created a blog and filled it with a few gig reviews. This was nice but left me wanting more. I spoke to my good friend Audrey, a fellow blogger – check out her blog on my links pages, and decided I needed to expand my scope. … Continue reading »

Tim Minchin – Echo Arena – 11th May 2011

If this blog achieves one thing and one thing only it is to spread the love for Tim Minchin! By far my favourite comedian, he is intelligent, funny, musical talented and even dances a little! What more could a girl ask for! As a birthday present, my bestie got me and her tickets to see … Continue reading »

Music Ensemble 5 – LIPA Mini Stage – 4th may 2011

Awesome! that’s all!

Hedda Aronssen – Groove on the Green – 1st May 2011

Hedda and her band played some cool songs, I sadly only got to hear the first few songs but I liked what I heard! Hedda is definitely a musician to keep an eye on and I know she is gigging all over Liverpool so seriously recommend going to one of her gigs!
